Many different species of lilies are toxic to cats, including Easter lilies. The entire lily plant (leaf, pollen, and flower) is poisonous to cats. Eating just a couple of leaves or licking a few pollen grains off their fur can result in severe, acute kidney failure. Toxic lilies include Asiatic, Easter, Japanese Show, Rubrum, Stargazer, Tiger, and Daylilies.
Make sure all medications, vitamins, batteries, paint, detergents, cleaning supplies and antifreeze are stored out of your pet's reach. If you think your pet has eaten something poisonous, time is critical.
